Browser Compatibility
WebEdit has been designed primarily around Microsoft's ContentEditable technology which is currently only fully supported by Internet Explorer 5 and above. This technology was originally developed by Microsoft for the HotMail Web interface and allows for text and images to be altered directly within the web page via your browser (referred to as "In Page" editing) rather than having to edit it within a special text editor.
Having said this we understand that not all web users run on IE. For this reason we have implemented support for Firefox and Netscape browsers by way of a popup text editor. Although not quite as stunning it does allows users to change their web content and offers similar features to most other CMS products on the market.
Please note that although the "In Page" editing is only available in IE browsers the resulting XHTML should be fully cross browser compliant.
